There are moments when the house is completely quiet.
Both dogs are settled.
In their own spots.
Not looking for anything.
And then Remi finds a toy. Not casually either—intentionally.
He picks it up, pauses for a second, and looks straight at Rio.
Rio sees it. He always sees it.
But he doesn’t move. He just watches.
Remi takes that as enough.
And without much warning—he launches himself at Rio.
And just like that, it starts.
Rio didn’t create it.
But he’s in it now.
Fully.
I’m realizing how often their energy doesn’t begin at the same time.
Remi brings it in.
Rio decides whether it stays.
What looks like shared energy usually starts with just one of them.
But once it’s there, it doesn’t stay contained.
It makes me wonder how often we don’t actually choose the energy we’re in—
we just step into something someone else started.
And just like that, what belonged to one belongs to both.
